Keagan Dolly opened up about his decision to ignore offers from Europe and North Africa to return home and sign for Kaizer Chiefs.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns winger opted to end his time in France with Montpellier to ink a three-year deal with Amakhosi.

"Obviously, I am happy. I am finally settled in. I am just excited to be here and start my career with Chiefs. I look forward to meeting all my team-mates and coaching staff and just get down to business," Dolly told the Amakhosi media department.

"Since I was young, my father introduced me to Kaizer Chiefs. We supported Kaizer Chiefs, I think, since the age of five. I used to watch the likes of Shoes Moshoeu, may his soul rest in peace. I grew up watching Stanton Fredericks, Jabu Pule (now Mahlangu). I used to dye my hair like Jabu Pule when I played for Westbury Arsenal, so it's not new to me. I know what the club is about, and I know the mentality at the club. I am ready to get down to business.

"With me coming back to Chiefs, it's to share my experiences with the youngsters coming up. I watched Mashiane, I watched Ngcobo playing, and they are looking very good. Where I can help, I will try my best to give them advice. I learnt a lot in France, and hopefully, I can come back and share my experiences."

Dolly will reconnect with Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro, including coach Stuart Baxter and Arthur Zwane, who he is familiar as they all worked together at Bafana Bafana.

"I've worked with Baxter, Ntseki, and they know my abilities and what to expect from me. I also worked with Ntseki at U23, Baxter at Bafana and Zwane too. Zwane was a winger and gave me some tips when we were in the Bafana camp."

"We speak the same language with coach Zwane. I just feel like I'm at home, meeting all these coaches that I've worked with. We've had many experiences together. I'm excited to be working with them and achieving a common goal."
