KLM-Air France puts up international fares
The Africa News.Net Thursday 15th May, 2008
KLM-Air France is once again raising the surcharge passengers must pay to compensate for the increase in oil prices.
On Friday, the surcharges for flights within Europe will increase to a maximum of 35 euros, while passengers on intercontinental flights face rises of up to 108 euros per journey.
This means that a return flight from major cities in Europe to New York will cost approximately 200 euros more.
It is believed Northwest Airlines and British Airways will also raise their fuel surcharges soon.
